One of my favourite is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, well known as Lewis Carroll, the writer of Alice in Wonderland.
Dodgson’s main topic was young little girls. He also made many studies of men, women, male children and landscapes. His subjects also include skeletons, dolls, dogs, statues and paintings, and trees. His studies of nude children were long presumed lost, but six have since surfaced, five of which have been published and are available online.
I like his works because he showed the girls as beeing in Wonderlans, and his portraits about men and women are also special. Read more

Have you heard about how „renew” nowadays Leonardo da Vinci’s Last supper?
I was wandering, when I read about, that ’The Last Supper’ was not only da Vinci’s theme. In the 14th-20th centuries many wellknown artist painted in this subject. Albrecht Durer, Tintoretto Blake, Rembrant.
Nowadays ont he internet you can find a lot of ’renew’ of da Vinci’s version. I found a webpage, where they collected many of them. These pictures are working perfectly, from the same gestures you associate to the original one. The figures sit or stand in the same position. So finally you always think about The Last Supper.
http://ifitshipitshere.blogspot.com/2008/05/last-supper-and-one-after-that-and.html
By the way, do you think this renewing is a good thing? Or does it ashamed to the original painting? Is it a kind of art? Or just a joke?

Fosters Bond. 2000.
Arno Rafael Minkkinen (b. 1945) is considered one of the most renowned and influential Finnish photographers worldwide. His works can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and he has won several awards in Italy, France, the United States and Finland. Minkkinen has been living and working in the U.S. Since 1951.
Arno Rafael Minkkinen is best known of his black-and-white photos in which he combines landscapes and nude human body. The nude human figure – often Minkkinen himself – becomes an integral part of the landscape. Allthough Minkkinen has lived in States most of his life, plays Finnish landscape and nature an important part in his works. His photographs have a captivating and almost supernatural atmosphere. Minkkinen is famous for categorially sticking to his rule not to use any kind of manipulation or external help in the photographing process.
What really attracts me in Minkkinen's photographs is the simplicity and calmness. The elements in his photos – the bare human body and the stillness of the landscape – are simple but the combined result is very dramatic. A glimpse of that power of expression is something I trying to capture in photography myself.
